While NASCAR is known for great racing, we're also about doing great things off the track. Check out some of the ways NASCAR employees make a difference in the environment and our communities.
NASCAR and the industry’s green efforts are showcased in front of millions of fans each week. NASCAR, the racetracks, teams, drivers and industry partners alike are working hard to lead a charge in environmental sustainability and doing business in the most environmentally friendly manner possible. From industry-wide recycling efforts to food diversion, racing on a biofuel called Sunoco Green E15, solar powered tracks, organic farms changing the menu in hospitality suites, a faster and more energy efficient track sweeper, recycled racing oils and fluids, NASCAR and its industry partners are doing business with an eye toward being as environmentally responsible as possible.
NASCAR Drive for Diversity
NASCAR leads the industry in efforts to broaden its audience, increase minority and female on track participation, introduce career opportunities in the motorsports industry, and engage multicultural leaders and key influencers in sports. Beyond elevating talented drivers into the top series, the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program has trained pit crew members for winning race teams across all three national series. NASCAR is also proud of the relationships it has developed with top universities, students and faculty through the NASCAR Diversity Internship Program. Many interns have gone on to accept full time jobs at NASCAR, sports agencies, fortune 100 sponsors, race tracks and race teams.
The NASCAR Foundation is a leading charity that works to improve the lives of the children who need it the most in our NASCAR Communities. The NASCAR Foundation believes every child should have a chance at a healthy life and deserves to get across the finish line. The Foundation is making children’s health and medical needs our top priority.
