The NASCAR Diversity Internship Program is a paid internship that seeks diverse undergraduate and graduate college students to contribute to the fast-paced NASCAR industry. NDIP provides practical, unique, hands-on experience in a variety of fields vital to the sport & business operations.

  • Be a member of one or more of the following races/ethnic minority classifications: Black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Latino or Hispanic, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander 

  • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, or be considered a recent graduate who has not completed their degree before the fall of the application year   

  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.* 

  • Be at least in their sophomore year of college 

  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale   

  • Be willing to relocate to Florida, North Carolina, or various locations across the United States 

       *Temporary visas will not be issued for this internship program.

When should I apply for NDIP?

When does the internship take place?

The summer program is 10 weeks from mid-May into early August.  

Where will I be placed?

Internship placement is based on your resume, prior experience, interests, and department need determined during the recruitment process.  

Do you offer internship opportunities in the fall or spring?

No, we currently only offer program during the summer.  

What should I expect during the internship?

Interns begin their experience with orientation in Charlotte, North Carolina. This multi-day immersion introduces the incoming class to the business of NASCAR. Interns will experience a NASCAR race, visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame, tour race teams and meet with industry executives.  

Upon completion of orientation interns will begin their internship at their respective locations. Throughout the program each intern is matched with a mentor and participates in weekly lunch and learns with NASCAR executives and program alumni.  

Is the summer internship paid?

Yes, interns are paid an hourly wage.

Where are the interns located?

We offer internships based out of Florida, North Carolina, and numerous race tracks across the country.

Do you offer relocation or housing assistance during the internship program?

We offer a housing stipend for interns who must relocate more than 50 miles.  

Do you offer sponsorship?

No, not currently.

Will I be offered full time employment after program completion?

Employment at NASCAR after program completion is a primary goal but not guaranteed.
