NASCAR NEXT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The NASCAR Next Internship Program is a paid internship that seeks undergraduate and graduate students from a variety of backgrounds and experiences to contribute to the fast-paced NASCAR industry. The program provides practical, unique, hands-on experience in a number of fields vital to the sport & business operations.

PROGRAM DETAILS

• Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, or be considered a recent graduate who has not completed their degree before the fall of the application year 

• Be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.*

• Be at least in their sophomore year of college 

• Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale   

• Be willing to relocate to Florida, North Carolina, or various locations across the United States 

*Temporary visas will not be issued for this internship program

When should I apply for the NASCAR Next Internship Program?

Applications for summer 2025 are now closed.

When does the internship take place?

The summer program is 10 weeks from mid-May into late July.

Where will I be placed?

Internship placement is based on your resume, prior experience, interests, and department need determined during the recruitment process.

Do you offer internship opportunities in the fall or spring?

No, we currently only offer program during the summer.

What should I expect during the internship?

Interns begin their experience with orientation in Charlotte, North Carolina. This multi-day immersion introduces the incoming class to the business of NASCAR. Interns will experience a NASCAR race, visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame, tour race teams and meet with industry executives.

Upon completion of orientation interns will begin their internship at their respective locations. Throughout the program each intern is matched with a mentor and participates in weekly lunch and learns with NASCAR executives and program alumni.

Is the summer internship paid?

Yes, interns are paid an hourly wage.

Where are the internships located?

We offer internships based out of Florida, North Carolina, and numerous race tracks across the country.

Do you offer relocation or housing assistance during the internship program?

We offer a relocation stipend for interns who must relocate more than 50 miles.

Do you offer sponsorship?

No, not currently.

Will I be offered full time employment after program completion?

Employment at NASCAR after program completion is a primary goal but not guaranteed.
